A Gavin DeGraw/David Cook tour makes a lot of sense. They’re both quite popular with middle-aged women, and they both got their big breaks thanks to network TV. DeGraw’s song “I Don’t Want to Be” has served as the opening theme to the CW’s One Tree Hill since 2003, a show that (believe it or not) returns next spring for its ninth (!) and final season. Cook, of course, notched an American Idol victory in 2008, making him perhaps the last Idol winner people can reliably identify (sorry, Lee DeWyze).
