What You Missed: Tattoo Convention, Snoop Dogg, Cold War Kids, Radiohead
You got a prescription for that?
So what'd you miss this weekend? We took full advantage of the non-rain and were all over the county and beyond. First, photographer John Gilhooley went to say hi to Snoop Dogg at the Galaxy Theatre in Santa Ana. Where he met this gal. Coolest gal ever. Click here to see the full slideshow of the Long Beach native on Orange County soil.
Smile like you mean it.
Then Keith May hung out with the inked and pierced at the largest tattoo convention ever: The Tattoo Body Art Expo at the Pomona Fairplex. We must say, there are pictures of things in here we never even knew could be pierced. Click for the slideshow.
Put out the fire, boys
Thennnnnnn: Andrew Youssef went to see hometown darlings Cold War Kids perform at the Wiltern in Los Angeles. Alec Ounsworth, the frontman of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, played a solo set. See the full set of photos here.
Do not look directly at the Thom Yorke.
And, well, it was a tough assignment, but Chris Victorio was up to the challenge: Radiohead played a benefit at the Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles which raised more than $575,000 to go towards Oxfam's Haitian earthquake relief efforts. It was wonderful, it was magical, but most of all, it was expensive. But it was also for a good cause, soo... just click here for said magical experience that you (probably) missed out on.
