What You Missed: Surf City Splash, Reverend Horton Heat, Flogging Molly and More

Oh goooooooood, why is it over? Let us remember better days: What'd you do for NYE, Orange County? We were, as usual, all over the place, starting off with the 10th Annual Huntington Beach Surf City Splash where hundreds of Southern Californian residents plunged into the Pacific at what has become a New Year's Day tradition in Huntington Beach. Event proceeds benefited the Huntington Beach International Surfing Museum which is in dire need of financial support to keep its doors open. See all the photos by Keith May right here.

Flogging Molly played the House of Blues on New Year's Day, 2010. (Seriously, 2010, how weird is that?) See the slideshow here!

Hipsters converged on New Year's Eve at Club Nokia, where Chromeo performed and Peanut Butter Wolf opened. Check out the slideshow here.

Action sports legend Travis Pastrana shattered the world record for distance jumping in a rally car in the third year of Red Bull's New Year's Eve event series. Pastrana jumped his Subaru Impreza WRX STI off of the Pine Street Pier in Long Beach over open water and
landed on a barge floating in the harbor, with the world-famous Queen Mary as the backdrop on 12/31. See the thrillinggggg slideshow here!

And continuing with the NYE events: Reverend Horton Heat helped ring in the New
Year at the House of Blues Anaheim. Street Dogs also performed! Slideshow here!

Swing revival pioneers Royal Crown Revue also played a New Year's Eve show at the Fox Theatre Pomona on 12/31. Deke Dickerson & The Ecco-Fonics, Vicky Tafoya and the Big Beat and Faraway Boys & the Embalmers provided support! The countdown to New
Year's even included a cameo from the Mayor of the city of Pomona. See the slideshow here!
