Vicki Gunvalson Gets a Beat on Real Housewives Franchise's "Lifetime Achievement Award"
Bravo this week announced the winners of the first-ever Real Housewives Awards and the original series in the franchise, The Real Housewives of Orange County, only managed to snag one.
Voted on by viewers, the nod for "Most Shocking Reunion Twist" didn't exactly go for a moment ORH (Original Real Housewife) Vicki Gunvalson cherishes.
It was for the Season 8 reunion when her daughter, Briana, revealed Gunvalson's boyfriend, Brooks Ayres, had told Briana's husband, Ryan, that Ayres wanted to beat Gunvalson--and that Ryan should do the same to Briana.
Who says love is dead?
Ah, well, at least the Bravo network lessened the sting by doling out a "Lifetime Achievement Award" to Gunvalson, the only original cast member who is still on The Real Housewives of Orange County and, thus, the longest surviving cast member of any of the Real Housewives' shows.
