A conviction could send the 24-year-old to state prison for 120 years to life, according to the OCDA, which notes Ricardez was held on $1 million bail pending a Sept. 21 pre-trial hearing in Newport Beach.
Lewd acts on two boys under age 14 happened between Jan. 1 and July 31 of this year, alleges the OCDA, which claims Ricardez sodomized one boy once and the other twice. The victims' parents reported the abuse to the sheriff's department, which investigated and arrested Ricardez on Thursday.
Anyone with more information on the crimes or who believes they may they may have been a victim is encouraged to contact OCDA Supervising Investigator Mark Gutierrez at 714.347.8794 or sheriff's Sgt. Wade Walsvick at 714.647.7418.
