UPDATE, AUG. 8, 4:41 P.M.: 19-year-old Juan Galvan was quickly arrested in the June 22 slaying of Alberto David Miller, who was shot on the front stoop of a Santa Ana home, but police have identified a second suspect believed to be the actual shooter.
He is Jesus Canales, who despite that baby face at right is a documented gang member with a violent criminal history.
And he remains at large.
Hoping to change that last fact is the Santa Ana Police Department, which is offering an unspecified monetary reward for information leading to Canales' arrest.
He is described as a Hispanic with black hair and brown eyes, 5 feet 6 tall and 175 pounds. Police say he should be considered armed and dangerous. Contact the department's gang detail at 714.245.8648 if you can place him.

ORIGINAL POST, JULY 25, 12:20 P.M.: Sixteen-year-old Alberto David Miller was sitting on the front steps of a home in the 300 block of East Washington Street in Santa Ana Sunday night when another teen walked by. Words were exchanged about the teens' rival gangs. Then the other guy whipped out a handgun and blasted several shots at Miller.
After suffering gunshot wounds to his legs and torso, Miller was rushed to Western Medical Center, where he was declared dead on arrival.
Santa Ana Police detectives working the case quickly zeroed in on a suspect and on Sunday made an arrest. Juan Galvan, 19, was taken down at his Santa Ana home and later booked on suspicion of murder.
But police are still putting pieces of the case together and ask anyone with information to call 714.245.8648.
