The Orange County Register reports that the jury was out for about four hours before convicting Lopez for his role in the bludgeoning death of Rejinold Harry in 2007. He faces up to life in prison without the potential for parole.
ORIGINAL POST, NOV. 30, 6:14 P.M.: The trial of a 29-year-old Garden Grove man who got his victim to let him into his Fullerton apartment by offering him sex and then bludgeoning him to death and robbing him starts tomorrow.

On a summer morning in 2007, Rejinold Harry let a man into his one-bedroom Fullerton apartment under the pretense that they would have sex, according to a press release put out by the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Jaime Jezzuel Lopez allegedly entered Harry's apartment, waited for him to take off his clothes and then struck him in the back of the head several times with a heavy object, the press release states. Lopez then stole jewelry and cash, before fleeing the scene.
That afternoon, when Harry's wife returned from work, she found him naked, face-down and lifeless in the bed.
A couple of months later, the Fullerton police put up posters in a couple parks that Harry often went to, in hopes of getting more details on the suspicious death. The case went cold, the press release says, until 2008, when DNA recovered from the crime scene led officials to Lopez.
He's charged with one felony count of special circumstances murder in the commission of a robbery. If convicted, he faces a life-time prison sentence with no parole option, the release states.
The jury will hear opening statements at the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana tomorrow morning.
