UPDATE, APRIL 4, 9:11 A.M.: The Orange County Register now reports the Los Angeles County Coroner's office has confirmed that the body found in the Angeles National Forest near the San Gabriel River was that of Joe Le. His body was found on Sunday.
UPDATE, APRIL 3, 7:30 P.M.: The OC Register is reporting that authorities searching for Joe Le found a body this afternoon near the San Gabriel River, but there has not yet been an official identification of the remains.
ORIGINAL POST: Anaheim's Joe Le has been reported missing after falling into the East Fork of the San Gabriel River Friday afternoon. A Los Angeles County Sheriff's official stated that the 20-year-old Golden West College student was hiking in the Angeles National Forest around 1:30 p.m. when he was swept away by torrential waist-high waters.

According to Sergeant Diane Hecht, Friday's vigorous search ended at nightfall and resumed Saturday at 5 a.m. along Camp Bonita Prairie Forks Road.
Le's family and friends spent the night trying to mobilize community support for the continued search effort, including an official “Pray for Joe Search Party” on Facebook.
