ORIGINAL POST, MARCH 19, 9:44 A.M.: A man found stabbed and bleeding in a gas station driveway in Anaheim this morning died a short time later at UCI Medical Center in Orange.
The clerk at the Mobil on Lincoln Boulevard east of Sunkist Street called police about the stranger just after 4:45 a.m.

Anaheim Police say they are investigating the case as a homicide and have no additional information to release at this time.
UPDATE, MARCH 27, 2:05 P.M.: Anaheim Police, who have identified the fatally stabbed man as Richard Swartz, say the Costa Mesa 66-year-old committed suicide.
The coroner's autopsy and footage from surveillance cameras in the area led police to conclude the injuries were self-inflicted, according to Anaheim Police Sgt. Bob Dunn.
