ORIGINAL POST, FEB. 10, 1:54 P.M.: An Orange County sheriff's deputy who works at the Men's Central Jail in Santa Ana found herself on the other side of the cell last night when she was taken into custody for allegedly engaging in sex acts with an inmate.
Jennifer Tamara McClain, 29, of Long Beach, was arrested on suspicion of sexual activity with an inmate, booked into the Santa Ana Jail and later released on her own recognizance.
The five-year veteran of the force is accused of doing the deeds with the same inmate at the Sheriff's Department's Intake and Release Center in the Men's Central Jail in November and December of last year. It's not yet clear if she had a relationship with the inmate before he was booked into the facility.
