[UPDATED:] Drunk Drivers Targeted in Anaheim-Westminster-Costa Mesa Triangle This Weekend
If you're getting your drink on in Anaheim or Costa Mesa tonight or Westminster tomorrow night, beware: the cops have DUI checkpoints set up.
UPDATE: In addition to all the towns mentioned in Spencer's post and, according to someone commenting on this one, Fountain Valley, the Irvine Police Department holds a sobriety/driver's license checkpoint during the evening hours Saturday at Irvine Center Drive and Hubble.
Costa Mesa's checkpoint will be at Newport Boulevard and Flower Street from 8 tonight to 2 a.m. Saturday.
Anaheim's runs from 8 tonight until 3 a.m. Saturday on Lincoln Avenue. Lincoln and what? Shhhhhh, the cops wanna surprise you.
Westminster police will check drivers in the northbound lanes in the 15500 block of Brookhurst Street from 7:30 p.m. Saturday to 2:30 a.m. Sunday. Besides drunken drivers, they will be ensuring those behind the wheels posses valid driver's licenses.
