[UPDATE: Maybe Not]: Fullerton Mayor Dick Jones to Resign: KFI Reports
UPDATE, 2:08 p.m.: An official with the city of Fullerton tells us that the KFI reports of Fullerton Mayor Dick Jones stepping down are false.
"The Mayor is not resigning," says Public Information Officer for the city of Fullerton Sylvia Palmer. "When he left city hall today the media was outside and he was asked point blank 'was he resigning.' His response was 'no, we still have a lot of work to do.'"
According to Palmer, KFI's report may have stemmed from a conversation between Ron Thomas, the father of Kelly Thomas, and the mayor in which the mayor said "he had considered retiring."
