Unattended Bag Discovered in Tomorrowland, Disneyland Evacuating Guests

We just received word via Twitter that an unattended backpack has been found in Tomorrowland. Disneyland has cleared the area and is currently working with the Anaheim Police Department.

We've yet to hear back from Disneyland's Media Relations for an official quote. Stay tuned!

If you'll remember, the park just experienced a false bomb scare on April 14.

UPDATE: 5:20 P.M.— Twitter user @DisneylandLive just tweeted that cast members are claiming a power outage and are heavily lining the Tomorrowland entrance, although it's already been confirmed by Disney officials that a suspicious bag is the source. @DisneylandLive also just posted this photo.

UPDATE: 5:35 P.M.– Susie Brown, Director of Media at Disneyland Resort, has just given us the park's official statement:

“An unattended bag was discovered near the entrance of the Tomorrowland Theater today at approximately 4 p.m. The safety of our guests and cast members is our highest priority so in an abundance of caution we have cleared the immediate area. We are working closely with the Anaheim Police Department, which is on scene.”

FINAL UPDATE: 8 P.M.— From Disneyland: “The Resort is operating
as normal. Law enforcement responded to an unattended bag, which was
harmless.”
