Arrest Made in Fatal Garden Grove Stabbing
Forensic evidence led to the arrest of Troy David Son, 20, in the fatal stabbing of Bryan Ortega, according to Lt. Bob Bogue of the Garden Grove Police Department.
“The motive for the murder is unknown at this time and there is no direct relationship between the suspect and the victim,” says Bogue, who added both were Garden Grove residents.
Son, who is scheduled to be arraigned on June 19, “is not a documented gang member,” said Bogue, who also noted the “unknown stabbing instrument” used to kill Ortega “has not been recovered.”
