To the Anonymous Pendejo who Left a “Boycott Mexico” Sticker on an OC Weekly News Rack

Dear Pendejo: Help us out a bit here.

We got a call from a favored restaurant of ours that you left a big, fat sticker proclaiming “Boycott Mexico” at the bottom of our news rack. People leave stickers on them all the time–usually bands, sometimes companies but rarely urging to economically hurt one of our biggest trading partners.

Oh, the actual sticker? After the jump!

So, help us. We're trying to figure out why you would leave it on our news rack and not, say, the news rack of our rival. Are you asking us to boycott Mexico? If so, why? Are you using our news rack to proclaim your opinion because you know everyone picks up the Weekly and, thus, you have a guaranteed audience? Did you do it to antagonize us because of our pro-immigrant policy? Maybe left as a valentine specifically for me? An Allan Mansoor supporter, given that the restaurant is in Costa Mesa? Or maybe it was Martin Millard?

Please help us out. We don't mind the hate–hell, it means you're reading us, and we thank you for getting so moved by our paper. But we do like to know motive. Leave a comment below, papi chulo!
