Tiger Woods Loses $500k Unloading Corona del Mar Condo
Tournament purses are not the only thing shrinking for Tiger Woods these days.
The former top golfer in the world recently got $2.2 million for a Corona del Mar condominium for which he originally paid $500,000 more.
That's more than Woods, whose last win of a Major was the 2008 U.S. Open, got for finishing tied for 11th at the PGA Championship Aug. 14.
In case you are wondering, no, the condo was not the place in Newport Beach where the then-married Woods met up with a cocktail waitress, or at least it has not been publicly disclosed as a rendezvous spot.
The golfer famously hooked up with Jaimee Grubbs in October 2009 at the Island Hotel near Fashion Island.
But the three-bedroom, three-bath, 2,000-square-foot town home at 2612 Ocean Blvd. was Cypress-born Eldrick's last link to his home county. It's across the street from the beach and is said to boast stunning ocean views.
The buyer has not been disclosed.
Woods' main base, of course, is on Jupiter Island in Florida, where his mother also has a home.
