“The Price We All Pay” Campaign Shames Polluting Corporations for What They Cost Us

You've heard of Citizens United, the U.S. Supreme Court ruling that allows corporations to flood our democracy with special-interest dollars. If you can't beat 'em (or out-spend 'em), out 'em! The California League of Conservation Voters has joined a national campaign aimed at exposing these corporations that pollute the state, nation and planet.

]

“The Price We All Pay” campaign seeks “to curb the influence of polluter money in elections,” according to organizers. “When polluter money controls our elections, we all pay the price. We need reforms to elect politicians who will support more safeguards to protect the public from dangerous chemicals.”

Constituents of California office-holders are being urged to sign up as “citizen cosponsors” of the Government By the People Act (H.R. 20), “which would combat the influence of big money in politics and amplify the voice of average Americans,” claims the California League of Conservation Voters. “Show Congress that you want to stop toxic money from controlling our elections!”
