A short documentary about homophobia, bullying and school violence screens tonight in Huntington Beach.
Admission is $5 to Teach Your Children Well at 7 p.m. in Huntington Beach Central Library, with proceeds going to the Huntington Beach Human Relations Task Force.
The 36-minute film, which is narrated by Emmy-winning comedienne Lily Tomlin, explores the tragic events that have occurred as a result of homophobia, bullying and school violence directed toward LGBT young people. Parents, teachers, students and professionals from various gay and lesbian service organizations are among those interviewed on camera. The most touching moments are delivered by the mother of one young victim of hatred.
