Santa Ana River Pastoral [OC Weekly Editorial Cartoon]
For this week's "Orange Feathers," artist Leslie Agan took on the homeless encampments on the Santa Ana River and the people who interact with them the most: weekend bicyclists. Take it, Leslie!
Every time I go on a bike ride through the Santa Ana River, I can't help but notice the growing number of homeless folks under the overpasses and along the trail itself. I wanted to illustrate the fancy cyclists and their super-expensive gear, in stark contrast to the homeless and their rusty bikes carrying their earthly possessions.
If our blogging system allowed a sad emoji face, we'd put it right here, right now. Good job, fam
