Santa Ana Cops Seek Groper of Teen Girl and Fellow Sicko Who Helped Hold Her Down

In the wake of a 17-year-old girl being groped, knocked down, held down and having her leg felt up under her skirt on Monday, Santa Ana police detectives are seeking the public's help in finding the two sick men who victimized her.

Around 5:50 p.m. Monday, the girl was walking home from Valley High School when she crossed the pedestrian bridge at 1600 West Saint Andrew Place, where she was approached by a man riding a bicycle, according to a Santa Ana Police advisory.

The bicyclist stopped in front of the girl, grabbed her buttocks and groped her, say police, who add a second man then walked up, grabbed the girl from behind and held her down while the first sicko grabbed her leg under her skirt.

The girl fought the men off as a female pedestrian walked up near the trio, causing the men to release the victim and head off east into a residential neighborhood. The pedestrian left the scene by the time police arrived.

The first man, the one on the bike, was described as Hispanic, 30 to 40 years old, 5-foot-8 to 6 feet tall, with a medium build, short spiky hair and a medium complexion. He was wearing a faded black long sleeve shirt and brown sandals and was carrying a dark green backpack. His bike was an older blue and black mountain bicycle with an orange reflector under the seat.

The second man was 20 to 30 and wearing a white short sleeve shirt with blue writing on it.

Anyone with information about these men or the assault is asked to call Santa Ana Police Family Crimes detectives at 714.245.8378.
