Roots Down: Education Group Hopes to Buy Big Oak Canyon


There's a big world outside Bikini Bottom and iCarly's apartment. 

And the non-profit education group Earthroots hopes to show kids where it is, as they've announced plans to buy 39 acres near the Cleveland National Forest to use for nature programs, and workshops on sustainable living and healthy lifestyles.

The Orange County-based group is looking to snap up Big Oak Canyon from the Wildlands Conservancy

With all the bad news that's hit canyon folks who want to keep the historic and wild lands of Orange County as-is, the move may bring some sunshine to their tree-hugging hearts.
