Roots Down: Education Group Hopes to Buy Big Oak Canyon

There's a big world outside Bikini Bottom and iCarly's apartment.

And the non-profit education group Earthroots hopes to show kids where it is, as they've announced plans to buy 39 acres near the Cleveland National Forest to use for nature programs, and workshops on sustainable living and healthy lifestyles.

The

Orange County

-based group is looking to snap up

Big Oak Canyon

from the

Wildlands Conservancy

With all the bad news that's hit canyon folks who want to keep the historic and wild lands of Orange County as-is, the move may bring some sunshine to their tree-hugging hearts.
