Robert Vincent Peace, Youth Soccer Coach Accused of Holding Child Porn, Faces New Charges


Remember Robert Vincent Peace, the local youth soccer coach who pleaded not guilty in January to possessing hordes of child pornography? You know, the one who was also looking at a sentencing enhancement allegation for substantial sexual conduct with a 13-year-old girl.

He was charged additionally today with coercing a 14-year-old girl he also met in a Stickam.com chat room into sending him sexually explicit videos of herself.

While Peace, a British citizen, has been held in lieu of $250,000 bail, forensic analysts have been busy examining his property, including a computer that yielded the latest victim, according to the Orange County District Attorney's office (OCDA). He allegedly met the 14-year-old girl from Virginia via Stickam.com.

The computer analysis shows Peace convinced the girl to send him “sexually explicit videos of herself
engaging in lewd acts over a 2-year period,” reads an OCDA arraignment statement, which accuses him of
keeping and possessing child porn. He now faces up to 26 years
and six months in state prison and lifetime sex offender registration with a conviction.
Peace was to be arraigned on the new
counts today in Newport Beach.

The previous case, involving a 13-year-old girl Peace allegedly met on Stickam.com, was launched after a member of his family in February 2011 is said to have discovered child porn on his computer and turned the hard drive over to the Orange County Sheriff's Department. That prompted an investigation that culminated in Peace's arrest after a January traffic stop.

Authorities had said at that time that more
than 1,500 images and more than 300 videos of child pornography involving young
teen girls was found on Peace's computer.
