California and immigrants have had a long, tortured history, with the Golden State being one of the few states who discriminated against EVERYONE: blacks, Mexicans, Chinese, Vietnamese, Italians–essentially everyone who wasn't of Anglo-Saxon stock, unless you were an Okie and Arkie.
I was reminded of this when visiting the Orange County Fair recently, and laughing at the ridiculous piece of propaganda featured on their official 1976 program. Picture after the jump!
