The Garden Grove man whose girlfriend sliced off his penis after a July 2011 argument told an Orange County sentencing judge that the crime “viciously deprived me of part of my life and identity” and then saw his nutty attacker sentenced to seven years to life in a California prison.
In April, a jury found Catherine Kieu, 50, guilty of felony torture and aggravated mayhem for the surprise knife attack that ended with her throwing her boyfriend's penis in the kitchen garbage disposal and turning the machine on to mutilate the sex organ.
Kieu plotted her crime in advance of a dinner date by lacing her victim's food with the sleep-aid Ambien, according to the Orange County District Attorney's office.

In an unsuccessful defense of her savagery, Kieu claimed she'd been depressed and mentally nuts–and therefore couldn't have formed the necessary intent to commit the crime.
“This was a cruel and calculated violation of a person's body and mind,” the victim also said today according to a DA press statement. “I now struggle with what is before me. She has torn off my identity as a man. She has caused doubt in my belief in good. She has betrayed my trust in people.”
