Octomom Nadya Suleman is Now Taking Phone Calls From the Public For $12 a Minute
Got any burning questions for Octomom Nadya Suleman? Perhaps, ones like: Who are your favorite 11 children? Tried any new drywall recipes? Made any mortgage payments lately? Spent any time parenting lately?
Call her up!
Suleman is one of the "stars" (groan) of Dial-A-Star.com, a website that connects fans with fauxlebrities. Rates vary depending on the operator--an Octochat costs $12 a minute, while a gabfest with Dina Lohan is $25 a minute and one with Real Housewives of New Jersey's Danielle Staub is $18 per minute. Shockingly, these aren't "adult lines"--we think. Each operator has a list of predetermined discussion topics.
According to the Huffington Post, celebrities decide their own rate and get to keep 50 percent. I used all my writer brain power to do the math and with this new gig, Octomom would make $360 an hour if anyone bites.
For the single mother of 14, who is facing a foreclosure sale of her La Habra home, could this be the career move that saves her and the brood? We could call and find out, but then we'd feel icky on so many levels.
