OC Fashion Week Kicks Off Again This Weekend, This Time With Kids!

It's September! Which means Halloween is just around the corner—I'm actually chewing on some candy corn as I type—which is already being sold at 7 -11, and OC Fashion Week (OCFW) is back! This time around, OCFW will showcase local and guest designer's S/
S (Spring/Summer in the language of fashion) 2017 collections this weekend at the Laguna Design Center.

You'll see familiar faces from last season's fashion week such as SanTana's own Jonathan Jimenez, Marva Aylouche and Bernice Gonzales. Guest designers such as 11-year-old, Egypt Ufele, who recently made Teen Vogue's “21 Under 21” list for her body-positive attitude and plus-sized designs, will debut her collection on Saturday night as well. Other designers include Chadia Almeddin, Australia's Carly Vidal for Urban Prima, Alisha Needham, Ionica Moldovianu, Heather LindquisMercedeh Maralan, Rohini Bedi, Gladys Torres, Vanessa Lozada, Victoria by Elizabeth, and Stefani Alvarado.

Wow: for once a fashion week showcasing women's wear where most of the designers are actually women.

Also, make sure to check out Occasion Kids' debut to OCFW. Occasion Kids is OC's newest shop with the largest range of children's wear designers—if Blue Ivy or North West ever found themselves in Orange County, they'd get their wardrobe from Occasion Kids. The kiddie boutique's celebrity inspired “mini me” fashion show on Sunday will surely be the cutest thing on the runway this season.
