Newt Gingrich, “Wrong” and “Dumbfounded,” Stumbling into Nixon Library


A “wrong” and “dumbfounded” Newt Gingrich is coming to the Richard Nixon Presidential Library and Museum in Yorba Linda later this month. The former House speaker and 2012 candidate for the GOP presidential nomination used those adjectives to describe his pre-election prediction that Mitt Romney would win in a landslide.

The partisan Nixon Foundation is hosting Gingrich and his wife Collista Gingrich, who are both hawking books.

Lil' Newtie is pimping Victory at Yorktown, the final in a series of novelizations on George Washington that were co-written with William R. Forstchen.

The Mrs. has Land of the Pilgrims' Pride, a story geared at 5 to 8 years olds about an elephant who goes to a library to learn about the 13 colonies. It's apparently based on a true story. Would that be a taxpayer-supported library?

Mr. Gingrich, who had Romney winning more than 300 electoral votes and 53 percent of the popular vote, has said that Republicans have to investigate how they are getting election procrastinating so wrong. You think? To Gingrich's credit, he did correctly predict Washington winning his presidential election.
