The Orange County Sheriff’s Department’s DUI Task Force announced that it will have extra deputies on the streets tonight in two contract cities.

Which ones?

Stanton and Yorba Linda.

When exactly?

From 7 p.m. through 3 a.m. Saturday.

Why?

To stop and arrest alcohol and drug-impaired drivers.

“This is a ‘Zero Tolerance’ crackdown so Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over!” explains Deputy Manuel Cruz from the Orange County Sheriff’s Department Traffic Bureau.

And yes: He does actually speak in capital letters.

Funding for the operation comes from a California Office of Traffic Safety grant, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
