Moises Rendon Held for Bizarre Kidnap Try on 15 y.o. Girl, But What About His Accomplice?
Santa Ana Police have a 28-year-old man in custody for allegedly being the creeper who was wearing gloves and carrying a rag as he ran at an desperately tried to grab a 15-year-old girl walking to Santa Ana Valley High School Wednesday morning.
But as Moises Rendon sits in the city jail thanks to his attempted kidnapping arrest, the question remains what about his accomplice?
Just before 8:25 a.m., the girl was confronted by a man who popped out of a red Toyota Corolla and ran toward her and tried to grab her, but she managed to escape his grasp and run away to safety. The stranger was then seen getting back into the passenger seat of the Toyota, which was driven away by another man.
Witnesses called police, who were given a possible address for the would-be napper in the 1400 block of South Sullivan Street, which is just two blocks from the point of attempted abduction. Rendon was picked up and shown to the girl, who positively identified him as the creeper, according to police.
