Mission Viejo Man Threatens to Kill His Family With a Samurai Sword
A man in Mission Viejo was arrested last week on suspicion of threatening to kill his family.
His weapon of choice: a samurai sword.
According to The Orange County Register, a woman and her son fled their home after the woman's other son, Babak Azar, 43, "brandished" the sword and threatened to kill everyone in the house. Along with the sword, officers also found three pairs of nunchakus after the arrest.
Azar's presence at the home violated the terms of a restraining order. He has been charged with making criminal threats and possession of a deadly weapon and is being held in lieu of $40,000 bail, the Register reports.
