A 32-year-old Santa Ana woman gave birth to a healthy baby boy six weeks ago, which normally would not be news in this cruel, cruel world except that the father is apparently the 16-year-old boyfriend of the mother's daughter.
This morning, mother of three Mayra Gonzalez is scheduled to be arraigned on six felony counts of unlawful sexual intercourse with
a minor under 16 years old and two felony counts of oral copulation
with a minor under 18 years old.

Conviction could land Gonzalez in state prison for seven years and eight months and require her to register for life as a sex offender, although getting at least one fewer Mother's Day card Sunday would be pretty harsh punishment in itself. At last word she was being held on $20,000 bail
before her scheduled 10 a.m.
arraignment in Santa Ana.
According to a statement from the Orange County District Attorney's office, Gonzalez is accused of boning the 16-year-old lad on six
occasions and blowing him twice between July 1-Dec. 24, 2011. He has not been identified by the OCDA because he is considered a sexual assault victim.
However, KCBS/Channel 2 News reports that he was the boyfriend of Gonzalez's daughter, quoting Santa Ana Police Cpl. Anthony
Bertagna, the department spokesman, of saying of the relationship, “Apparently, it was continuously happening until people in the
neighborhood saw it was going on. They confronted the victim in this case,
and he confessed to the fact that it was happening.”
Gonzalez told police she loved the boy but knew their trysts were wrong, Bertagna added.
If Gonzalez gets the lifetime sex offender tag, she would be barred from city parks and county recreational areas in jurisdictions that have banned pervs in parks.
