Normally when it comes to dissing notables via Twitter, that would be the end of it, save for perhaps a comment or three from one's followers–even when adding an @ to the target, as @UCLA_Nation did to @MattBarkley.
But then again, Newport Beach-born Barkley, the pride of USC and Mater Dei High School, is still in his 20s and not yet verbally wounded enough to let it go–amazing when you consider he plays in freakin' Philadelphia. So the tweet obviously got his attention:
