A man in his 30s was shot to death in the parking lot of a Garden Grove strip center just before noon today.

The victim, described only as Hispanic, was not identified pending notification of next of kin.

Police got the call at 11:56 a.m. about a shooting at the shopping center at 13478 Harbor Blvd., according to Garden Grove Police Lt. Robert Bogue.

There cops found the man with multiple gunshot wounds to his chest and he was immediately taken to UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange, where he later died from his injuries, Bogue said.

A gray SUV vehicle is believed to have been used in the incident, as was a semi-automatic handgun based on the numerous expended casings in the parking lot, Bogue said.

Investigators are seeking tips from the public, which can be called in to 714.741.5800.
