Lucky John: Out of context on OCRegister.com

About a month ago I wrote a story called Tough as Nails about a street performer down on the Huntington Pier Plaza named “Lucky” John Domingue. John was at his wits end because he kept getting run off the pier by Surf City's finest every time he performed his show, which basically consists of pounding a nail in his head.

John admitted to me, I wasn't the first reporter he approached about the story, saying the OC Register and LA Times both saw his story as unimportant.

Well apparently now John's important enough. At least important enough to capture a performance he uses to make his living and show it for free without bothering to mention he risks going to jail for exercising his First Amendment rights.

So click here to see the Register's awesome video which is much like the one we featured a month ago along with some context.
