For our “Orange Feathers” editorial cartoon this week, artist Algae (yep: that’s his name) decided to do a shout-out to South Coast Safe Access, the SanTana medicinal marijuana dispensary that made history earlier this month when it announced its workers were joining the United Food and Commercial Workers union. The inspiration for the cartoon is to show how cool unions are becoming. For the first time in Orange County, Santa Ana’s South Coast Safe Access (SCSA) medical marijuana dispensary has joined the United Food & Commercial Workers Union (UFCW). It brings a whole new meaning to “Toke for the Union Label!”
