A 37-year-old Santa Ana man who got into a fight with a bar’s security guard was shot to death Friday night, according to police.
Leonel Bucio was already dead in the parking lot of El Coral Bar, 1902 South Standard Ave., when officers arrived to a 9:30 p.m. dispatch call, says the Santa Ana Police Department.
“Further investigation revealed the decedent was involved in an altercation with the on-site armed security officer resulting in the fatal shooting,” reads a police statement.
The department is still investigating the shooting to the upper part of Bucio’s body to determine whether the guard should face possible charges, police say.
