JetBlue Fetes More Las Vegas-Long Beach Flights With Special $19 One-Way Fares

Do you suppose a budget airline's $40.68 roundtrip flights between Long Beach and Las Vegas has anything to do with JetBlue promoting expanded service between its Southern California hub and Sin City with $19 flights each way?

Naaaaaaaaw, totally coinky-dink.

Beginning Feb. 1, JetBlue will have two more daily roundtrip flights between Long Beach Airport and McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas, adding to its existing three daily flights on that route.

To herald this, JetBlue is offering special $19 one-way fares for tickets purchaed by Monday for travel between Long Beach and Las Vegas Dec. 15 through May 16, 2011.

As they say in the biz, blackout dates and other conditions apply.

JetBlue says the expanded service on the route caters to strong demand between Los Angeles and Orange County and Las Vegas. But's it's curious that it comes days after Allegiant Air unveiled its cheap flights and expanded service between the same airport and Vegas as well.

Allegiant's special Long Beach to Sin City flights also do not take off until Dec. 15.
