Jessica Gonzalez Sought for Fatal Shooting of Jennifer Solorio; Couple Called Life Partners

Police in Orange said this morning they are still trying to determine the relationship between a woman who was shot to death in the 2000 block of East Palmyra Avenue Thursday afternoon and the suspected female killer, but neighbors tell reporters they were life partners. The search continues for Jessica Gonzalez, 35, who is believed to be armed and dangerous.

The call came in around 3:30 p.m. Thursday of multiple shots fired near an apartment complex along that stretch of East Palmyra. It was soon discovered that 44-year-old Jennifer Roberta Solorio had been shot, producing a trail of blood from the apartments to a spot on the sidewalk across the street where she collapsed. She was taken by rescuers to a local hospital where she died.

Police say the early investigation pointed to Solorio as the suspect. She was described as 5-foot-5 and 90 pounds and last seen wearing black sweatpants and a black sweater. Anyone with information was asked to call Orange Police Detective Scott Trausch at 714.936.1204.

The relationship between the pair of women was unclear, police said, but neighbors described them as life partners who had resided in their East Palmyra apartment for at least a decade.

The couple had a history of domestic disputes, according to neighbors. But none had never seen one this brutal. After Solorio was shot, neighbors claim, Gonzalez approached the body on the sidewalk and kicked her before fleeing.
