Irvine Flasher Preys on 15 y.o. Girls, Has Been Trying to Show Off His Junk Since Jan. 17

The Irvine Police Department is looking for a guy who has been flashing or trying to flash teen-age girls the past couple months.

He is described as having light skin, being about 20 to 30 years old, sporting short, dark brown hair and driving a four-door sedan with tinted windows.

Two 15-year-old girls walking home from school Wednesday told police the stranger approached them separately about 3:20 p.m. near West Yale Loop and Warner Avenue, according to police.

He pulled his dark sedan up to the curb and tried to get one girl to come to his passenger-side window, but she stayed on her path home, explained Lt. Julia Engen, the Irvine Police spokeswoman.

But moments later, he exposed himself to the other 15-year-old as he motioned for her to come to his car near West Yale Loop and Stone Creek North, Engen said.

Police investigators suspect he is the same man who tried to approach two other girls in
separate incidents on Jan. 17 and Feb. 4. In those cases, the man was on foot and had his pants unzipped as he asked for directions. Engen noted those incidents also happened in the Woodbridge area near West Yale Loop between Barranca Parkway and Yale Avenue.

Anyone with information is asked to call Irvine Police at 949.724.7200. A larger view of the police sketch follows on the next page …
