The Irvine Police Department just announced a sobriety checkpoint will be up from 8 p.m. Saturday through 2 a.m. Sunday--as well as the location.
It will be in the area of Bake Parkway and Rockfield Boulevard, according to officials.
Like all other checkpoints, the ninth of 10 Irvine Police plan to conduct through September is funded by a California Office of Traffic Safety grant, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
