German Bravo DeJesus, Healthcare Creeper, Guilty of Fondling Little Girls at Work and Park

A 34-year-old Lake Forest man was convicted today of touching the vaginal areas of a 7-year-old visiting a family member at the Laguna Woods healthcare facility the creeper worked at and a 6-year-old attending movie night at an Aliso Viejo park. German Bravo DeJesus now faces a maximum sentence of 45 years to life in prison at his scheduled June 28 sentencing.

The father of the 6-year-old immediately contacted sheriff's deputies, who arrested DeJesus as he was bicycling away from the park. The subsequent publicity from the arrest and investigation turned up the girl who was fondled at Palm Terrace Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, as authorities said they feared there may be other victims. The case against DeJesus, which could also result in lifetime sex offender registration, only involves the two girls.

As we reported at the time …

German Bravo DeJesus Held for Allegedly Fondling 6- and 8-Year-Old Girls

… the 7-year-old was with another relative close to her age in the Palm Terrace waiting room on Jan. 17, 2009, when DeJesus walked up and asked her how old she was. He then reached down and touched her crotch over her clothing before walking away. He would return a short time later, touch her privates again and leave.

But that crime did not come to light until after the night of July 8, 2011, when DeJesus walked up to the 6-year-old girl in Grand Park (and only 10 feet from her father). DeJesus asked her age, put his hands down her pants and touched her vagina before fleeing … and quickly getting arrested.

If DeJesus ever gets out of custody, he would be forbidden from entering that same park, as Aliso Viejo is among the Orange County jurisdictions that have enacted “Child Safety Zones” that prohibit registered sex offenders from entering public parks without permission from law enforcement. Such laws, which result in misdemeanors and possible parole violations, are being challenged in court.

The jury in Santa Ana today found DeJesus guilty of three felony counts of lewd acts with a minor under 14, and sentencing enhancement allegations for multiple victims and substantial sexual conduct with a child were found true.
