Backyard Skeptics, a grass-roots organization founded by Freethought Alliance director Bruce Gleason, has invited other non-theistic groups to monthly viewings of the late Carl Sagan's Cosmos, a hugely popular 1980 TV series that also spawned a bestselling book.

The viewing parties kick off this evening at the Regency Franciscan Plaza Theatre, 26762 Verdugo St., San Juan Capistrano.
