It was a cold one last night, so cold you could fathom how a desperate soul might have mistakenly chosen a fatal way to keep warm.
Santa Ana Fire received a call at 6:07 this morning about flames engulfing a motor home parked in a corner of a storage yard at 936 E. Second St. Shortly thereafter, they found a body inside.

First, the responders had to get past a locked gate and two guard dogs. Fortunately, it only took five minutes to knock down the blaze.
The body was discovered inside the motor home right after that.
The sex and age of the victim remain unknown, as does the cause of the fire.
