A female teacher at a juvenile correctional facility in Trabuco Canyon was charged today with having an unlawful relationship with a
15 16-year-old housed at the facility by kissing and fondling him after meeting in classrooms and closets, according to the Orange County District Attorney's Office.
Dawn Marie Baloun, 43, of Lake Forest, is charged with one misdemeanor count of child annoyance and faces a maximum sentence of one year in jail if convicted. She is scheduled to be arraigned April 12 at the Harbor Justice Center in Newport Beach.

Wile working as a teacher at the Joplin Youth Center between March and April 2009, Baloun is accused of having an unlawful intimate relationship with the unidentified boy housed at the facility.
She met him alone in classrooms, the facility office and in a towel closet, where she kissed him, fondled him over his clothing and had him touch her breasts over her clothing, according to the OCDA.
The youth was transferred to another state facility in April 2009, but from then through the following December, Baloun is accused of exchanging approximately 65 graphic, sexual letters with the lad.
A counselor at the facility where the boy was housed discovered the letters and squealed to the Orange County Sheriff's Department.
