Cops got a tip that a man may be selling illegal fireworks. So, they followed him Wednesday afternoon to Extra Self Storage unit at 4664 Lincoln Ave., Cypress. There they watched the alleged sale of illegal boom-boom makers.
The fuzz then swooped in and arrested Earnest Sudberry, 37, of Buena Park on suspicion of selling illegal fireworks. He was booked into the city jail.
Ryan Castaneda, 26, of Buena Park, was arrested on suspicion of buying illegal fireworks. He was cited and released.
The Orange County Fire Authority's bomb squad arrived to weigh, catalog and store the fireworks.
