Christopher Lee Jason, 32, was booked into West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga and held without bail for suspicion of murder and attempted murder, according to the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department.

Just before 4 p.m. Saturday, deputies were flagged down in an unincorporated area of Fontana–and about a mile east of Auto Club Speedway–where they discovered three people who had been shot. Belk, 51, 45, later died at a hospital, where a 15-year-old boy and a 48-year-old man, both of Fontana, were also treated. The teen has since been released but the man remains hospitalized with non life-threatening injuries, deputies say.

Belk, a sales representative for a South County dental supply and equipment company, had an outstanding reputation in his sales territory of being an honest and a helpful partner to his dental clients, according to a friend.

“He was soft spoken and big like a Teddy Bear,” friend and co-worker James St. Pierre told the Riverside Press-Telegram. “He seemed very dedicated to his family and gave them his life's priority. He was very popular and will be missed by many.”

Sheriff's officials have yet to reveal a motive for the shooting.
