Chick-fil-A: "Tastes like Hate" Vandalism Hits SoCal Restaurant
Overnight someone committed a misdemeanor crime by spray painting "Tastes like Hate
" on the restaurant's outer wall.
Political conservatives, who vigorously back Chick-fil-A owner Dan Cathy's position that God will punish the United States if gays and lesbians are allowed to marry, are probably disgusted by the vandalism.
On Wednesday, the restaurant won huge sales and vocal support when Cathy fans lined up to buy his food.
On the other side of the controversy, pro-gay marriage equality groups are pushing their boycott today by calling for a "National Same Sex Kiss-In Day" outside of the popular restaurant.
Gay anger at Cathy increased after recent reports show he has sponsored the work of homophobic characters and given more than $5 million to anti-equality causes, according to various news outlets.
9 A.M. UPDATE: The vandalized restaurant painted over the graffiti.
