ORIGINAL POST, JULY 2, 7:17 P.M.: An Amber Alert has been declared for a six-month-old girl who is believed to have been abducted by her grandmother in Huntington Beach.
Carolyn Ferguson, 57, is accused of taking Leilani Mosely around 9 this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The grandmother was last seen driving a 2007 white Chrysler PT Cruiser with California license plate 5UQZ701. The car has minor front-end damage.
The baby is described as white, 15 pounds, with black hair and last seen wearing a pink onesie.
Ferguson is described as white, 5 feet 7, 175 pounds, with blond hair and blue eyes.

UPDATE NO. 1, JULY 2, 10:09 P.M.: The CHP has deactivated the Amber Alert, explaining the child has been located and is safe.
UPDATE NO. 2, JULY 7, 6:03 A.M.: The Huntington Beach grandmother who set off a statewide Amber Alert Wednesday night has been charged with child stealing. Carolyn Ferguson, 57, allegedly took her 6-month-old granddaughter Leilani Mosely from home around 9 a.m. that morning, and the baby was recovered safe at a convenience store in Arizona that night, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Huntington Beach Police say Ferguson has a history of mental illness, stopped taking her medication and babbled about the world ending before allegedly abducting the girl.
Ferguson, who had left Orange County without a cell phone or food for the baby, was acting strangely in the Arizona store, where she was recognized from the Amber Alert, according to police, who add her PT Cruiser was found disabled along Interstate 10.
The baby was reunited with her mother.
