A woman was arrested Tuesday morning for allegedly embezzling $51,000 from the Santa Ana medical group she worked at as office assistant for 10 years, according to police.

Blanca Landeros, 30, of Santa Ana, was booked into Santa Ana city jail on 17 counts of grand theft, forgery, preparing false evidence and false personation, and her bail was set at $100,000.
Santa Ana Police Department's Economic Crime Unit was contacted in May 2014 by the managing doctor from the Advance Urgent Medical Group about suspicions Landeros embezzled money from the business, police said.
Detectives investigated the allegations and found that Landeros allegedly took $51,000 from the medical group during an 18-month period, according to police.
