"I don't see it as a setback."
--In the wake of Democrats losing Ted Kennedy
's U.S. Senate seat in Massachusetts last week, Irvine Democrat Beth Krom
--who is challenging Orange County Republican Congressman John Campbell
--shared this laughable opinion with the Daily Pilot
. Krom has a history of uttering statements that exhibit an alarming refusal to accept reality. Meanwhile, Campbell accurately called the election of Scott Brown
a political "tsunami" given that Massachusetts has the nation's most liberal electorate. Even Dana Rohrabacher
, a man prone to self-serving fantasy, got it right. He observed to the paper that the Brown "election indicates a widespread dissatisfaction with the goals and methodology of the current Democrat majority and the president."
